Playing Dress Up

 I've mentioned before that one of Addison's favorite movies is Beauty and the Beast.  She LOVES the music and has all the words memorized.  Her other favorites right now are Finding Nemo, Elmo's Christmas, Elmo's Potty Time, and Leap Frog Learning School.  AND I can assure you we have watched each of those around 100 times EACH.  Once she has a favorite, it stays a favorite for a very, very long time!  The lady knows what she likes!  Anyway, because she loves Beauty and the Beast, she got the Belle dress for Christmas and loves twirling around in it.  I thought these were precious pics and couldn't decide on just one as a favorite.  She loves dressing up and is really opinionated about what she wears right now.  She loves her dresses and would wear a dress every single day!  Once I get a dress on her, she will take off running really fast while watching the bottom of it.  She likes the way it flares I guess!  The last 2 months have been remarkably better regarding this whole "terrible two" thing.  She is way more patient and doesn't seem to be having her outbursts as often- oh thank goodness!!!  She is good about finding a corner and sitting in "time out" until she calms down.  When she starts getting worked up about something, she will stop herself and say ,"Be Patient."  She is becoming better at playing by herself and communicating with us.  The sentences that come out of her mouth are amazing.  She is such a little sponge and repeats EVERYTHING we say.  That's been interesting!  She is really into her artwork right now.  She will sit down at her art table and just get to work everyday.  She is constantly telling us to draw fish, smiley faces, Abby (from Elmo), hearts, and anything else lying around that catches her attention.  She loves to write with both hands and is always switching back and forth.  Another thing that she is in love with right now are these little Nemo figurines.  She calls them her "Nemo's." Oh my gosh, our lives revolve around these things!  They are little plastic characters (from the movie) that she carries EVERYWHERE with her in her purse.  They go for car rides, out to eat, doctor appointments, baths, and they eat with her on her tray.  I can assure you when 1 of these figures is missing, she will notice it and will freak out until we find it!  There are a ton of them and she is constantly studying them to make sure they are all there.  I have made it my mission to check in with these guys throughout the day to ensure they are in place.  If I don't, then I will be paying for it later!  Such a SWEET little girl that will ALWAYS be my baby.  She is growing up way too fast.  I tell her this all the time!  She has the brightest personality and is capable of lighting up any room!  We love our Addison Claire!
