Sisterly love and swimming lessons!

This is just a random post about you two girls and what y'all have been up to this Summer.  Daddy took y'all to the park one day during the week when I was getting my haircut.  (Such a good Daddy)!  It's so hard to take y'all both since you want to play in different areas.  It's more of a safety thing for me.  Sooo, we really don't get to the park that often unless I get to take another adult with me!
At your favorite place!  OUTBACK!  Chowing down on the bread and butter that you love oh so much.

You started swimming lessons!!  This was huge because you were signed up for them last year but had to miss due to the accident.  You were super excited to go because we had told you all about it and Mrs. Linda Causey.  I always love describing things to you such as events that are about to occur.  I think it helps you adapt to the situation better.  You just walked right up in there acting as if you owned the place.  Mrs. Causey taught me for years and that made it really special.
You were so good at swimming!  You were never afraid and she just starts by putting y'all under water every few seconds.  Most of the kids were freaking out but you just loved it.  Most of the kids cried during the whole lesson but you just played and splashed in the water until it was your turn.  You only cried when it was time to get out and go home!  Mrs. Causey loved you and saw how much you loved it so she offered the pool to us anytime we wanted.  We never got to go because of nap time but it was so nice of her!  We stayed at Totsie and Papa's for the 2 weeks of lessons.  In this pick you can see your leg stretched out- it took awhile for your body to relax and let your legs float behind you.  By the last day you were looking really good!  It was great therapy for you.  We are thinking of joining an indoor pool here so that you can get practice year round!
While there we went to the park and fed the ducks.  Something you really love to do!

You did another session of IMOT this Summer.  You made great gains!  Here you are wearing the lovely neuro suit.  You tolerate all of this really well and just absolutely love therapy!  They really are like family to us!  Ron (the one wearing the hat) is your main physical therapist.  John Wesley is a student that was there for a few weeks and y'all just love each other so much.  Fun fact: he just finished an MTV reality show called Caged.  He is one of the fighters.  I need to take pics of all your therapists so that you will always remember them.  You've got a great team babe.
Working with bungee chords inside the cage.

This was at school back in May when you were celebrating your bday.  You were carrying the flag on the way to Chapel.

Kneeling and saying our prayer during Chapel.
Seriously love this picture.  I see so much of me in this one!  Some days I think we are identical twins!
Kids love boxes right?  Cheap fun!  This was definitely a hit with you.  I remember my Pop use to put me in a box and carry me down the stairs and ask where I was.  My Nona would go along with it and just say maybe I went to the neighbors and then would pretend to call Flosie (the neighbor).  Then my giggles would get out of control and I would just jump out of the box.  The best memories.

I adore this pic- some of the best pics are taken with phones.  I don't mean quality- just a good ole picture.
You girls love wearing hats.  Well, not really wearing them out and about, just like playing dress up with them.  I think Addison looks way too grown up right here.  I always tell her not to grow up too fast.  She always says Ok:)
Still love playing in this cabinet.  Y'all find it so entertaining.
This was taken inside that cabinet- with my phone.  Another great picture.  Probably could be clearer and the lighting could be better but who really walks around with their gigantic camera strapped to their chest? Not me.
Southern girls never swim without a bow in their hair!
Love these ducks.
One of your favorite things about swim lessons- Elise Claire!  Y'all hit it off immediately and you call her your best friend.  We are lucky that they only live 5 minutes from us!  We have already had a play date and you were just devastated that we had to go home.  We hope to have them over soon if we can slow down for a second!

While in Ruston, you and Papa got to share LOTS of ice cream.
At the end of lessons, y'all would have to line up on the side and individually jump off into Mrs. Causey's arms.
It was one of the things that was physically hard for you.  Jumping is something that is a huge challenge for you.  Because you walk on your toes right now, it is almost impossible for you to jump and clear your feet off the ground (even though your braces keep your heels down).  It's gotten better and will come down the road but right now it is hard!  You love working at it though and try your very best.
Papa wanted to show you one of the catfish he caught in their pond.  You weren't too thrilled!
At the peach store and checking out the peaches on the peach trees.
Enjoying the ice cream
This was the last day of lessons and see the pouting?  You were sooo upset and Mrs. Causey just got out of the pool and held you for awhile.  She really loved you!
Hanging with Papa at Outback!
Love my girls!  My family is everything to me.  My cup runneth over!
Y'all love getting in these toy boxes and playing together.  It kinda makes sense.  Just get in the box where all the toys are rather than having to drag them all out!

This was the first time y'all ever took a bath together.  I hear alot of parents say it's faster to do this.  Deep down we knew it wouldn't be.  Atleast with our girls.  It just means lots more playing and a little later bedtime.  We haven't done it since.  We will do it again on days when we are way ahead of schedule!

Your favorite teacher, Mrs. Blanchard!
Melody really doesn't like me taking her picture- therefore I get this look.
Little Miss fashionista!  You just love playing dress up and put on all kinds of random stuff.  You love grabbing a bag and wearing your sunglasses and saying, "Mommy, I'm just like you"!  You then tell me that you're leaving and you usually say you're going to the beach or on vacation.
You love to say, "Ya know what'? Right before you say something to someone.  It seriously comes out of your mouth a thousand times a day.  It's pretty funny.  I always respond with a very curious, "What"?  You are so smart and just have so much to tell us about.  I didn't realize it at first but figured out that when we start explaining things to you we always start with "You know what"?  So, I guess it just stuck with you!
Y'all sure do love ice cream!
