Happy 17 & 18 Months Melody!

I am combining the 17th and 18th month pics on here cause things have been super busy and I never got around to doing last months!  Here are some funny things that you have been doing lately......
We have always given you this sweet little bunny/blanket to sleep with.  It's silk on one side and you just love it.  We have always referred to it as your "lovey" and all of the sudden you have started calling it your "La La."  You will walk all over the house calling out for "La La" until you can find her.  I'm guessing "Lovey" is too hard for you to say right now so you found something that works for you!  So cute!  Funny thing is that it was actually given to Addison in her first Easter basket from Totsie and Papa.  She never really took to it!  I don't think you mind hand-me-downs all that much! (THANK GOODNESS)!  Now since you have a "La La", Addison thinks all of her favorite snuggly things are called "la la's" too.  She says,"This is Melody's La La and this is my La La."

Just seeing how my feet smell!
You love your feet so much.  I will find you sitting on the ground with you holding your foot up to your eyes just studying the bottom of it.  I would LOVE to know what you are thinking!  You also like to smell things!  I catch you sniffing the palms of your hands all the time! HA!
You are sooo very spunky and mischevious right now!  That little 2 year old is right around the corner and we are preparing for it!  I am happy to say that Addison's behavior has drastically improved just in time for to begin:)  That's ok.......atleast we know what to expect!  I don't really think I could handle both of you acting like that at the exact same time!  3 year olds bring it to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL.  2 Year olds are EASY!  I think some of your little tantrums are due to lack of communication.  You will get so frustrated and just start slinging things all over the place.  Your words are growing and we get you to repeat simple words every now and then.  But most of the time you like to talk in your baby jibberish.  I pretty much love that!  I just nod my head and act as if I know exactly what you are telling us.
You think you're invincible right now and it totally freaks me out!  You are a daredevil and just do things without thinking.  You are still very physical and I am amazed at the stuff you can do.  We will definitely be in gymnastics this Fall!  We caught you climbing in the lazy boy a few weeks ago.  We watched you attempt it for a few days and you were just bound and determined to figure it out!  You love to just sit in it and rock.  You will also grab the remote and try to mess with the TV.  Addison will get so mad cause Dora is usually on and you will change some setting and it just freaks her out!  It's pretty funny!  We really can't take our eyes off of you due to your climbing skills.  You have tried standing and bouncing in that chair and we really have to get on to you.  I think it worked cause you haven't tried it since.  We DO NOT need another bad fall in this house!

You love music in the car (still) and just bob that little head along with the beat.  I'm still amazed at how you can find the beat.
You have gotten to the age where you realize you have a sibling and you have to work at getting our attention.  You have started to get a little jealous when you don't have our FULL attention and you make sure that you get it one way or another!
You LOVE some food!  You will just PANIC until you can get it in your mouth.  When I'm making everyones food I always start yours a little early and let you eat ahead of everyone else.  Cause if you spot me in the kitchen making dinner, you just have a massive meltdown until I put you in the high chair.  Ya'll couldn't be more opposite when it comes to this!  While you beg to eat, Addison begs to play for "15 more minutes".  She tries to drag it out as long as she can!
You still growl every time you see a tiger- and that is alot!  Living here we are always surrounded by Mike the Tiger.  The other day we passed a gas station that had a tiger as the mascot and all the sudden you just start growling like crazy.  It's not a sweet little growl either!  It is a serious bobcat sounding growl- hilarious!  I just love it!!
My HAPPY little girl!

Such a sweet little spirit!
